A capsule wardrobe doesn't always have to look the same, but it has several common features that ensure its owners, despite having a small number of clothes, always have something to wear and, more importantly, always feel very good in their outfits. Sounds like a dream? It doesn't have to be! What's more, to create a capsule wardrobe, you don't need to buy many new things, on the contrary - get rid of those that are excess baggage.

There is no one scheme that determines whether a wardrobe is capsule or not. In reality, there are as many capsule wardrobes as there are their owners. There are also different approaches to how many items a wardrobe should consist of in order to be defined as a capsule wardrobe.

In capsule wardrobe, it’s not about the quantity, but the quality. It’s not about having as few things as possible, but about having only those things that are worn and in which one feels good. A wardrobe with random clothes, even if it’s small, won’t be capsule because its other important feature is that the items in it can be combined into matching outfits. There is also no rule as to whether each bottom (pants, skirt) should match any top (blouse, sweater, t-shirt, shirt), or if it’s enough for one blouse to match three different bottoms to consider it a capsule combination.

Having a capsule wardrobe is a trend, especially among minimalists, for whom it is important not to buy unnecessary things. This does not mean at all that such wardrobes can only contain cheap clothes from chain stores, on the contrary. Often, these are wardrobes containing more expensive clothes made of noble materials that are of high quality and will last for years. Having a small number of things means that each of them is often used, so they cannot be clothes that quickly get destroyed, they must be decent.

Capsule wardrobe is an excellent solution that allows you to create dozens of interesting stylizations from a small number of items. Certain conditions must be met for this to be possible. If you are tired of buying new clothes that don’t fit you, quickly get bored, fill up your closet, don’t make you feel good when wearing them, and also make your bank account constantly empty, opt for a capsule wardrobe. How to do it?

These five rules will make you finally love your wardrobe, and the famous “I have nothing to wear” despite having a full closet will no longer be your problem.
